可怜的她

在这富裕繁华的都市中,也许我们都把‘丰衣足食’这四个字为理所当然。很多时候,我们都没注意到周围其实有些不幸的一群。今天在回家途中,当我在兀兰巴士转换站乘搭电动扶梯时,迎面却看见一个熟悉的面孔。一位年约八十,面容憔悴的老婆婆正在兜售纸巾。身体削瘦的她,提着无力的双腿,脸上露出一丝的苦笑,要求人们买她的纸巾。这老婆婆可不是驳取同情的骗子。我曾经看过她好几次在不同地方兜售纸巾,而她几年前在我旧家附近卖麻糍。我曾听我已故的外婆说这老婆婆十分可怜,虽然有儿女,但被他们抛弃。当她卖麻糍时,也曾遭些没良心的王八蛋强走她的钱。我以为这情节只会在电视上出现,没想到我却目睹了这真相。向她买了纸巾过后,心中的悲伤依然纯在,一路回家时感慨万端。看见老婆婆一大把年纪了还得吃苦,心十分痛。同时我也觉的很无助;想帮她却不知如何。除了帮她买纸巾时多给她一点钱之外,我根本帮不上她。不知有谁能指点我。希望佛祖保佑她平平安安,身体健康,早日脱离苦海。

You are right. Most of the time we overlooked alot of things that we took for granted. It is when we put oursleves in their shoes and experience what they've gone through, then we realised how fortunate we are. Many things in this world are beyond our control. I saw this poster at my workplace. It's a story of an old man and a little boy. The old man saw this little boy throwing a starfish back into the sea, he asked,"Boy, there are so many starfish on the beach, how is saving 1 make a difference?" The little boy answered,"I made a difference for that 1.." Do you understand what i'm trying to say?
